Gram Flour (Besan)
Besan has always held its own place in Indian kitchens — the flour behind everything from a simple pakora to a festive laddoo. Unlike wheat or millet, it comes from chana, a pulse rather than a cereal, giving it a character all its own.
At Mumakhi Organics, we grow our chana through the same cow-based organic farming we use across our fields — nourished with cow-dung manure and nutrient-rich vermicompost, with no synthetic chemicals anywhere in the process.
After harvest, the chana is carefully stone-ground at low RPM using a traditional chakki. This gentle, cold-processing (30–35°C) keeps its natural aroma, flavour and nutrition intact — nothing lost to heat, nothing rushed for speed.
Wholesome by nature. Living soil. Honest nutrition.
